Positives
• Dual CPU capable
• 80GB ATA hd
• Comes with atleast 512mb std
• Clean layout lots of room for air to flow internally
• Low price (starting street price is $1100)

Negatives
• AMI BIOS with minimal options
• CDROM optional
• No floppy. Must use USB floppy if one is needed
• Is NOT compatible with the standard Proliant server agents
• Power button could accedentally get hit
• Rackmounting equipment - Only include mounting rails, just to hold it in an HP rack. You can NOT slide the server out to work on it, it only slide half way out the it is removed. There is NO cable management at all, not even an option (as of 10/04).
• Wiring was not as need as it should have been, wiring could get caught in between something and the top and get damaged.
• Is not made as well as the typical Proliant (the DL380+ rocks).
• IBM xSeries 306 seems to be well ahead of this server (except cpu), it offers SATA, SATA RAID, some system management (remote power on/off), sliding rails, cable management arm, internal floppy, etc
• 1 year warranty (A 3yr next day Care Pack is about $200)

Noteworthy stuff
• DL360 sliding rail option (just rails, not cable management, but I sorta rigged the cable management (reels) to work) is compatible with DL140. Costs about $230
• Boots from USB floppy fine
